It was also a match up of two of the most sought after freshmen in the country; Pervis Ellison and Danny Ferry. ''Never Nervous'' Pervis netted 25 points and grabbed down 11 boards to lead the Cardinals to a 72-69 victory over #1 Duke in the NCAA Final. The title was the second of the decade for Louisville.
